The Oh So Delicious Buttermilk White Bread

buttermilk white bread

These days we seem willing to spend upwards of five dollars for an Artesian bread or bakery fresh bread at the local supermarket.  We are in pursuit of the perfect bread, that has substance, makes a nice sandwich and toasts nicely.

We, in Canada, are very lucky that our farmers grow a hard wheat that is perfect for bread and all other baked goods.  Many of my friends to the south are envious of the quality of Canadian flour.

That being said, this recipe for Buttermilk White Bread, which is made in a bread machine, costs pennies to make and manages to meet all of the criteria of the perfect bread.
