I am always awed that this recipe produces cake on the top and pudding on the bottom.
It is a very simple recipe that can be prepared in about 15 minutes and then just needs to bake while the rest of supper is cooking.
Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

Ingredients
- 2/3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 1/2 Tsp baking powder
- 1/4 Tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 6 Tbsp milk
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
Topping
- 2/3 cups brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/3 cup hot water
- 2 Tbsp cocoa powder
Directions
| Heat oven to 350 deg F. | |
| Mix all ingredients except brown sugar, hot water and 2 tbsp cocoa. Put into ungreased 2 L casserole. | |

Mix brown sugar, and 2 tbsp cocoa; sprinkle on batter. Pour hot water on batter  | |

Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until sauce is bubbly below and cake tests done with cake tester.  | |
| Serve warm. Top with whipped cream or ice cream or milk, if you wish. | |
