For a creamier looking sauce, use regular cooking onions. For a red sauce, use red cooking onions.

- 20 - 25 brussel sprouts (outer leaves removed and an x cut into the base)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion (about 1 small onion)
- 1/8 Tsp white sugar
- 1 Tbsp red wine
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or 2 tsp of dried parsley)
- 2 Tbsp Dijon or your favourite mustard
- freshly ground pepper
